How It Works

OUR SERVICE TO YOU PROGRAMS

CRUISE SHIP FISHING TRIPS offers our clients two different programs for you to choose from when using our services. Our escorted trips that we make with small groups aboard cruises with you.  This option is for groups of people traveling together such as Families, Company Employee or Executive Trips, Fishing Clubs, Fraternal Organizations and just about any type of group of people from 5 to approximately 25 persons. Please Note: They all do not need to be fishermen (or women) just as long as at least 5 of the group will be fishing at some time during the Cruise. This popular option allows CRUISE SHIP FISHING TRIPS to place at least one of our team members with your group aboard the ship and on your fishing trips. This provides your group the highest level of service in several ways. Our team members, we call them our "Cruise Pros" assist our clients in many ways both aboard Ship and on the fishing grounds. This service allows us to conduct Shipboard Seminars covering all the information your fishing participants will need to know before each Port of Call. What species you will be targeting to fish for and the most successful methods for catching them. On the ship we provide a beautiful high tech seminar room where we hold our classes during sea travel days. We open the classroom after breakfast and usually close it before dinner on full sea days. The exception is on our travel nights to the fishing destinations as in the Bahamas sailings from Miami or Port Lauderdale. (aka: A.F.F.S. Floating Bonefish Schools)  On these trips we open the classroom after dinner. Our shipboard classes cover subjects like tackle selection, rigging up gear, knot tying, fly and lure selection. How to use the gear we provide correctly, species identification, tips on working with your local guides that you will be fishing with, photography and videography suggestions, fly tying instruction and a whole lot more, including some video and power point assisted programs to quickly get you up to speed on what's in store for you when we go ashore.  We always have a great time doing this and the classes though structured are flexible, allowing you to drop in and out of them at any time, to go enjoy other shipboard activities like the pools, strolling the decks, casinos, shopping, art auctions and so many other available activities. This of course allows other folks in your group that are not such hard core fishers to enjoy their time on board the ship as much as you are enjoying yours. It's another reason that our "CRUISE & CAST" trips are so popular with families.   On multi day trips of 7 to 14 days we also provide on deck fly casting lessons at different times of the day (Usually held in the large on deck checker and chess board game areas). Perfect for the novice fly caster to learn from an expert instructor or for the "Old Pro" to tune up a bit before "hitting the water".  You can think of your "Cruise Pro" as your Fishing Concierge,  that will answer your questions about shipboard procedures and services. They smooth out the details with Port transfers and meeting up with our Destination Guides, Outfitters and Lodge partners. Your personal pros will be along to aid you during the fishing with as much or as little coaching as you request.  Skilled with cameras, they will be recording the days events during your adventure for you.  You can concentrate more on the fishing and enjoying a great time out on the water with your family and friends.  There is even more value to make this the best way to "CRUISE & CAST" Continue Reading

B.   For the I'll do It myself fishermen, we offer our "Assist You For FREE" program.  Perfect for the more adventuresome traveler that wants to "Go it Alone" or with just a companion or two.  We provide you all  the information to book a day trip with our affiliated Guides, Captains and Lodge partners in the Ports you would like to fish at.  Our booking rates are the same or lower then what you can charter a days fishing for.  That's because we send our partners multiple trips and you are just booking a trip for one day whether its a group or just you.  Besides giving you valuable advice on the phone or email, about what flies or lures to pack for your trip.  We even give you a dozen flies or a half dozen lures in a good box for FREE when you use our service to book your trip.  We have many clients that are annual "Cruisers" and they call us every time before they set sail.  As an example, we have some commercial airline pilots that love to fish and take our Bahamas 2 and 3 day trips when they have lay overs and days off in South  Florida.  We also have trips that can take you to G.B.I. in the Bahamas by ship and  then lets you spend a few days fishing there at your own pace with our partner guides and some great places to stay.  Call us for the details. Our clients often become our friends and fishing buddies and we like it that way. Contact us and join the fun..

SOME POINTS WORTH MENTIONING:

We can some times combine individual  fishermen with another solo fisherman or with a small group on the same Cruise to help both, lower their guide fees.

All our guided trips are priced "ala carte".  You choose how many days you want to fish on your cruise.

The prices of our Guided Trips are determined by our Outfitters, Guides and Captains that you will be fishing with.  Pricing is related to how many people will be fishing on your excurssions.

We do not overbook our clients with our Lodge and Guide partners.  They normally have clients staying with them for days or a week or two, that arrive by airline or vehicles.  We also book trips that way as well, if you are interested.  Lodges are often limited  in how many day trip clients they can accommodate at their facilities without enough notice.  Booking your fishing trips as early prior to  your Cruise date is the best way to avoid being disapointed.  This guarantees you the dates and the destinations you want to fish.

On occasion we can help a last minute client enjoy a day of fishing in these great locations and we will try our best to get you fishing in Ports but we certainly can not guarantee it if you wait to long tocall us.  Always contact us as soon as possible once you have made your ship passage arrangements. A 50% deposit or the price of a port side fishing  trip is normally required by the Lodge, Captain  or Guide Service.

Cancellation policies for refunds is up to the Fishing trip provider, NOT Cruise Ship Fishing Trips LLC.

As part of our escorted trip program each fishing member of the  group will receive a complete fly fishing travel outfit 6 through 10 weight 4 or more piece rod, fly reel, backing , fly line, leaders,  fly box with flies, accessory  tools  and travel case that holds every thing needed to use on the trip. Clients will then take the outfit home with them. Retail value of this complete package is over $200. All offshore big game fly fishing tackle will  be provided for our escorted  trip clients use, if port side trips for blue water species like sailfish, tunas, marlin, mahi, are taken. This type of  specialized tackle

often costs well over a $1,000 per outfit up to $2,000 for some of them. Conventional and spin fishing rods, reels and tackle are provided by our Port side partners as part of the daily charter fees, or you may elect to pack and bring your own gear to use.  We also provide a blue water fly fishing  tackle gear rental program for our HELP YOU D.I.Y. trip

clients that would like to try big game fly fishing but do not have the  proper equipment for it.  Most charter boat captains while they do have quality offshore conventional  tackle which they provide our clients with, they like most fishermen do not have blue water fly fishing  gear in the 12 to 16 weight categories. You can  rent this tackle from us for your trip at  $200 per week plus insured shipping charges both ways to your residence or U.S. business address. Rental outfits include fly rod, reel, 1 fly line with backing, big game leader, 1 offshore fly or popper and travel cases for rods and reels. It does not include the price of additional big game flies, leaders and additional fly lines. extra backing, stretcher boxes, tippet spools, wire, crimps, tools, etc.  We  can sell you these additional items or you can purchase them elsewere to bring with you.   We are happy to discuss fly  patterns and  tackle recommendations at NO charge to you at any time as part of our service to you. All fly tackle rentals require a credit or debit card hold placed on the equipment for the full retail price replacement value of the equipment. When the equipment is returned in good condition, the hold will be released immediately on your card and only the rental of $200 per outfit will be charged to your card. If rental outfit is not  shipped  back within 7 days of return to port of your Cruise Ship then your card will be charged for the full retail value of the equipment. All rental customers that return the gear in good condition and on time, are issued a credit memo of $100 that they can use towards the purchase of any new or used 12 to 16 weight complete outfit from our A.F.F.S.SEA LEVEL FLY SHOPS.

We do not encourage or cooperate with the idea of having our clients wading across the flats being used by "in camp" clients at our partner lodges that are there for multiple days of fishing.  On rare occassions we also have to alter our fishing days as planned to accomodate local fishermen and their activties.  Our professional guide partners always come up with good alternate plans in case of any unforseen problems that  can arise, to keep our clients on fish during the time allotted for their fishing trips.

Being a part of American Fly Fishing Schools, our primary focus is with fly fishing trips for our clients.  However many of our Lodge and Guide partners that we work with, also offer light tackle spin fishing and conventional gear fishing trips.  They often take mixed parties of both conventional /spin anglers with fly fishers at the same time..

We can provide informative seminars about all our "CRUISE & CAST " destinations and trips that we offer. We use multi-media video and power point slides to help us "show and tell " the attendees all about our  trips and services.  If you have a Club, Business or Organization that is considering a Cruise Trip for your group we would be pleased to come to your location for a presentaton. We do not encourage or cooperate with the idea of having a dozen  clients wading across the flats being used by "in camp" clients at our partner lodges that are there for multiple days of fishing.

However many of our Lodge and Guide partners that we work with, also offer light tackle spin fishing and conventional gear fising trps.

We charge as little as possible for

CRUISE SHIP FISHING TRIPS offers our clients two different programs for you to choose from when using our services.

A. Our escorted trips that we make with small groups aboard cruises with you.  This option is for groups of people travelling together such as Families, Company Employee or Executive Trips, Fishing Clubs, Fraternal Organizations and just about any type of group of people from 5 to approximately 25 persons. Please Note: They all do not need to be fishermen (or women) just as long as at least 5 of the group wil be fishing at some time during the Cruise. This popular option allows CRUISE SHIP FISHING TRIPS to place at least one of our team members with your group aboard the ship and on your fishing trips with your group.  This provides your group the highest level of service in several ways. Our team member (we call them our "Cruise Pros" assist our clients in many ways both aboard Ship and on the fishing grounds. This service allows us to conduct Shipboard Seminars covering all the information your fishing participants will need to know before each Port of Call. What species you will be targeting to fish for and the most successful methods for catching them. On the ship we provide a beautiful high tech seminar room where we hold our classes during sea travel days. We open the classroom after breakfast and usually close it before dinner on full sea days (the exception is on our one night to the first destination trips as in the Bahamas sailings from Miami or Port Lauderdale. (aka: A.F.F.S. Floating Bonefish School)  On these trips we open the classroom after dinner. Our shipboard classes cover subjects like tackle selection, rigging up gear, knot tying, fly and lure  selection. How to use the gear we provide correctly, species identification, tips on working with your local guides that we will be fishing with, photography and videography suggestions , fly tying instruction and a whole lot more including some videos  and power point assisted photos to quickly get you up to speed on what's in store for you when we go ashore.  We always have a great time doing this and the classes though structured are flexible, allowing you to drop in and out of them any time to go enjoy other shipboard activities like the pools, strolling the decks, casinos, shopping, art auctions and so many other available activities. Perfect for the novice fly caster to learn from an expert or for the "Old Pro" to tune up a bit before "hitting the water".  You can think of your "Cruise Pro" as your Fishing Concierge  that will answer your questions about shipboard procedures and services. They smooth out the details with Port transfers and meeting up with our Destination Guides, Outfitters and Lodge partners. Your personal pros will be along to aid you during the fishing with as much or as little coaching as you request. Experts with cameras they will be recording the days events during your adventure for you.  You can concentrate more on the fishing and enjoying a great time out on the water with your friends.  There is even more value to make this the best way to "CRUISE & CAST" Click here for that information..

B.   For the I'll do It myself fishermen we offer our "Assist You For FREE" program. Because we send our partners multiple trips and you are just booking a trip for one day whether its a group or just you. We also have trips that can take you to G.B.I. in the Bahamas by ship and  lets you spend a few days fishing there at your own pace with our partner guides and some great places to stay.  Call us for the details. Our clients often become our friends and fishing buddies and we like it that way. Contact us and join the fun..
